Kindergarten is off to a great start! In Language Arts, we will continue to focus on phonemic awareness and phonics instruction. We will be working on letter recognition, identifying letter sounds, rhyming, clapping syllables, and doing Daily Five. Everyone has come a long way since the beginning of school. We are so proud of them.

Our goal in mathematics is to build number sense through hands on manipulatives. It is extremely important your child has a solid grasp of what a number looks like, what it represents, and how to write it. Play simple matching the number games at home for extra practice.

We have been very busy with Science and Social Studies projects. The children enjoy all the hands on experiments to make for a better understanding. The pumpkin patch was a fun filled day of laughter and learning.

Since the first day your child walked through our classroom door, their journey of learning began. The journey of expanding their knowledge of learning, and supporting their love and growth in God. I will say, “That is the best feeling in the world”.

Peace and love,

Mrs. Kania
